For spectators:

The Braselton Christmas Parade will begin at 10:30am on Saturday, November 18th. 

The route begins on Hwy 53 at the Braselton Tech Center (home to YearOne and Northeast Church) and will travel south, turning right on Henry Street (just before the former West Jackson Primary School).  The procession will turn right onto Harrison Street passing the Braselton Park and will turn left onto Davis Street by the Braselton Library.  At the end of Davis Street, a right turn will be made into Hwy 124 then a left into the Braselton Tech Center. There are sidewalks along most of the route.  

Suggested parking areas are:  Northeast Georgia Bank, Town Hall, Police & Municipal Building, Braselton Library, former WJPS, Frances Street, Brassie Lane.  Please remember that many roads and parking lots will be blocked until the parade passes. 

Parking at the Braselton Tech Center (YearOne and Northeast Church) is for parade participates only.  

 If you are participating in the parade:

Please know the name of your group before you arrive!  Let the front greeter know if the vehicle you are driving is in the parade.  Only vehicles in the parade are allowed in the staging and line up area.  Please contact Amy prior to parade day if special arrangements need to be made.  706-684-0369. 
While we understand grandparents and other friends may want to come see you prior to the parade, please discourage this for everyone's safety.  Our volunteers are handling a lot of people and vehicles in a very short period of time so please be courteous and respectful.  

 Day of Parade Timeline:


All vehicles should enter the Tech Center from Hwy 53! (unless otherwise instructed)
8:00am – 9:00am  Floats to be judged arrive for check in  Do not arrive before 8:00am!
8:45am – 10:00am   All other entries arrive for check in Do not arrive before 8:45am unless your entry is being judged! 
9:15am – 9:45am Float judging will begin.
10:05am  All entries should be checked in and in assigned positions 
10:10am  Vehicles will not be permitted into staging area at this time
10:20am Safety meeting by church bell.  All drivers and a representative should attend
10:30am  Parade starts! 

Only vehicles that are actually in the parade will be allowed in the staging area.  All others will use YearOne for parking.  Group leaders are encouraged to have a drop off and pick up plan for children!  There is a large grass area between YearOne and Northeast Church ideal for a meeting spot! 

Please note:  There is a lot of vehicle traffic on parade day.  Please to patient.  Our first priority is to keep everyone safe. Please allow plenty of time to park and get to your group.   
 Guidelines
  1. The parade committee will review all entries and will approve or disapprove according to these regulations.
  2. Floats and vehicles should be decorated and are encouraged to conform to the set theme of this year’s parade “Christmas Around the World.” No political statements or views should be displayed on any entry.
  3. A portable generator can be used but must be securely on the float and must have a dry chemical fire extinguisher on board.
  4. Music is encouraged.  Amplified sounds other than holiday music will not be allowed.
  5. All motorized vehicles must be driven by properly licensed drivers over the age of 18.
  6. Candy can be gently tossed from vehicles/floats. Ensure candy reaches sidewalks and no one is hit.    
  7. All parade participants are encouraged to dress festively in holiday attire or appropriate to the theme.
  8. The parade committee will provide a Santa Claus.  No other live Santas will be allowed.
  9. In the staging area, vehicles must be attended by a driver at all times.
  10. Due to the number of expected entries and for the safety of all participants only floats and participating vehicles will be allowed into the staging area.  Support vehicles carrying supplies and people are not allowed in the staging area.  Parking is provided at YearOne so please plan accordingly.
  11. In cases of inclement weather:  the parade will only be canceled if the Braselton Police Department deems, based on local weather advisors, that conditions outside will be unsafe.
  12. All entries need to be pre-registered.  No day of parade entries will be allowed.
